sunlit
an open letter to h&m
to whom it may concern,
i was recently in your michigan ave., chicago store and saw some dirty gold metallic jeans. they were the coolest of the cool, the swaggest of the swag, the hypest of the hype. i loved these jeans and i would have bought them without hesitating, had you carried my size. i would have bought these jeans even if they were a little too small. i would have bought these jeans even if they cost $100. that’s how committed i was to these jeans. more committed than i ever have been to a guy. imagine my despair, my disappointment when the largest size available in the store was a 10. especially since your sizes tend to run small, my curvy hips never stood a chance. i think it sucks that my only options were to buy the jeans and hope to someday squeeze into them, or go home heartbroken.
which leads me to my second point, where is your online shopping option? any self-respecting international fashion juggernaut should have a web store. imagine the possibilities! more sizes, more colors, web-only exclusives! an online store would be literal and figurative gold. i can’t be the first person to ever suggest such an obvious solution to this problem.
please, dream with me folks (about awesome jeans that fit).
sincerely, betsy
